This site was spearheaded by Charles V. Patricelli. It has been an idea of his to create a method to help family and friends banners they may have donated or just want to find. This website goes way beyond that goal. We now have information that will last forever on what these individuals did for our country.

Charles has always been an advocate for our veterans and while Director of the Watervliet Housing Authority took every photo he could grab of a veteran and placed it on their public access TV station WVLT-17 and would run this video on special holidays especially on Memorial/Veterans Day.

In addition he interviewed as many veterans as possible that would share their stories. Most, if not all these videos are also part of this website. Many are embedded in with the individual or listed on a dedicated page.

In 2014 we honored 63 WWII veterans at Veterans Memorial Park in Watervliet. This was one of them most special moments anyone could ever image having these veterans assemble in one spot to talk and pay special honor to their service.
